What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have long been interested in Celtic and Norse pre-Christian civilization and have spent years studying the myths of both lands along with their way of life. Tara's Journey has seen several iterations and began as a historical novel, but I soon realized that it was not true to history, so rewrote it as a fantasy, which allowed me to introduce many interesting characters and magical devices into the telling.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Tara and Alaric are actually loosely based on real people. The supporting character come from my imagination, but are, I feel, very real in their own way.
Author Bio:
I am a passionate storyteller, and I love stories that involve some magic or paranormal characters/happenings. I also love Celtic and Norse pre-Christian civilizations and feel I combine both in my stories.
Besides writing I am a Certified Therapeutic Musician who volunteers at a local hospital on a regular basis. I love animals and own one cat.
I live with my husband and cat in the Salt Lake City area of Utah.
