Something evil watches in the eye of the storm.
An end of summer party in the quaint town of Thorn Tree offers a chance of romance for Maggie Hawkbetter, but when her best friend stumbles into town clutching her dead baby, the magical evening turns into a nightmare. A series of sudden deaths follow and over the course of a few days, the town descends into chaos. With a deadly virus killing children, a mysterious little girl is spotted visiting isolated homes and wandering lonely roads. As the death count grows, a sinister figure invades Maggie’s dreams and it becomes clear that the town is in the grip of something evil.
With panic spreading, Maggie finds unlikely allies in an elderly gardener, a young waiter and a local cop. Together, they take on an ancient being born of hatred.
