The Summoning … a supernatural mystery to solve.
Edrington, Oregon – a town with a horrifying past. A town with dark secrets. A town where a woman has summoned something terrifying.
Three hundred and fifty miles south, Ryan wakes up in a motel room with a bag of stolen money, bullet hole scars on his chest, and no memory of his past – his only clue is a scrap of paper in his wallet with an Edrington address scrawled on it.
Plagued by nightmares of a tortured man who seems to be forcing his way from the dream world into our world, Ryan journeys north to the small Oregon town where the answers are waiting for him.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This is a little difficult without giving anything away in the book, but I wanted to write a horror story with a mystery to figure out.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I usually get an idea and then write a detailed outline. And from the outline the characters begin to come to life. Sometimes I write bios for the main characters, but nothing too detailed because I find them changing somewhat as I write.
I’ve been writing since the second grade when my teacher called my parents in for a conference because the ghost story I’d written had her a little concerned. By the time I was fourteen years old I was reading every Stephen King book I could find in the public library. I was hooked – I knew I had to be a writer.
I’ve had several stories published and four screenplays optioned by producers in Hollywood. I’ve written four novels and a collection of short stories (Ancient Enemy, Descendants of Magic, The Summoning, Night Terrors, Ghost Town: a novella, and A Dark Collection: 12 Scary Stories) all of which are available on Amazon/Kindle. I’m working on three new novels at the moment. I’m a member of the Horror Writers Association.
I grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida, and then after many travels and adventures, I settled down in Tampa, Florida with my wonderful wife and son, and a stray cat we adopted.
