What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This book was inspired by my daughters. This was a bedtime story that I told to them. They loved the story and so we put it in book form so that they could read it anytime.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Hannah and Rebekah are based on two of my daughters who have such great and different personalities.
“Where are we at?” Hannah asked.
Rebekah looked at the dials on the dashboard, but there wasn’t anything that gave any indication as to where they were. She would have to remember to build something in.
“I don’t know,” she replied.
They were quiet for a few moments as they listened to the noises that they could hear outside the machine. They could hear distant banging and clinking like something being built. There were also some machine sounds like the sound of a vacuum running. Softly, in the background of the banging noise there was another sound, like the sound of the music that played in an elevator.
“Do you hear that?” Hannah asked.
“The music. It sounds like…”
“Christmas songs.” Rebekah finished for her.
